Key Stage 1 have had fun exploring Autumn, making stick people from the beloved story ‘Stick Man’. We’ve also looked at shape and made mazes as well as eaten yummy brioche by the fire!
My highlight has been the children growing in knowledge of birds the excitement coming back into forest school to find that they had eaten the seeds and apples from the feeders they had made.
KS2 have explored Autumn and we talked about what food can be foraged safely. We have also persevered in some team building games including with Floor is lava with planks of wood and tyres.
My highlight has been watching them instruct their partner around a homemade maze blindfolded.
As a school we have built a bug hotel and found some small residents to put there. We also found a whole family of stag beetles which were hibernating and have rehoused them to their very own beetle bucket. We have each made a winter decoration to take home, drilling a hole and making a hanging.
