It has been lovely to meet some new families in the Autumn who joined the Nursery children at Buckland St Mary's Forest School.

We expired the Mud Kitchen and made some Winter Stews. We explored the Assault course and practised our balancing.

We also played at the 'Tuff Tray Game’ which every week has a new theme; Clay, Bug hunting, crafts, threading, sorting....This Spring we are welcoming new families along with the Nursery and already we have been learning how to use fire Strikers( Steel and Flint), and some children have made small fairy fires. Apart from the joy of learning, we encourage the self led learning ethos of Forest School and guide the children that by taking managed risks they will achieve and feel confident in themselves.

Finally after a lot of play we have a quiet time to have a warm drink and snack around the fire circle and read or tell a story or sing a song and play some instruments.

We look forward to the Spring and making new friends.
