Wishing you all a Happy Wintertime.
Winter is definitely here, Most of the leaves have fallen, and you may have noticed that the minibeasts and creatures have either disappeared or begun to hibernate ready for the coming months. Snow has already made an appearance and the rain just keeps on falling. I hope that you all managed to stay safe on those days.
Robins have been so busy this term. Even with the wet weather we have still managed to walk down to the Forest school site. We played games and sung new songs to keep us warm. Built creative Dens and at the moment we are designing our own flags to attach to our willow wands. Our clay hedgehogs have been taken down to the garden to hibernate for the winter. We also talked about First Aid and who can help us. Thank you to our adults who help us, especially Jo and Niamh.
Heron's class have been busy too, exploring the site, playing in the Mud and working well together. We have had brilliant discussions about our experiences with the local wildlife, making considered decisions in pairs and groups and giving good reasons as to why those decisions were made. The class have created some great crafts using hand drills, and used knives to create feather sticks which we will use in our last session to build our fire to toast our treats. Lots of busy sessions. Well done to Heron’s. We want to Thank Mrs Sheldon for her time with us, we are so grateful.
Please remember to bring a coat,Wellies and/or a change of clothing or full waterproofs, as we try and go outside as much as possible even in the showery weather. As the weather gets colder please think about Hats and gloves and extra warm socks for Wellies boots as Wellies stay really cold in cold weather.
The After-school club will continue to run on Fridays, in Spring 2 term will we will doing Nature craft. We have room for a few more should your child wish to join. We have lots of fun down at the Forest School site. However if the weather is too cold or wet we will continue inside at the school Book Here
