This year has been an absolute treat for nature! The canals of Venice are clear once again, fish have been found in UK waters that were thought extinct and the flowers that came out over the Summer were beautiful! The countryside has fought back and has shown us its full gorgeousness despite everything going on around us.
Our holiday camps over the October Half Term in Devon and Dorset were jam packed full of fantastic activities and the children had an incredible time. The weather may have been inclement at times but it never stops us having fun!
Since returning to schools, we’ve continued our hand washing, social distancing and equipment separation routines, which the children have taken to brilliantly. They’re such adaptable souls. We have been able to start our After School Clubs up at some of our schools which have been very popular. We hope that we will be able to offer more of these in the coming weeks or months. And just as we were starting to get used to the ‘new normal’ (such a clichéd phrase now), a second lock-down comes in. This time, with schools still open for all pupils. All of our schools have asked us to continue our provision, something we are very proud of as this shows how happy they are with our COVID measures.
It’s a funny and difficult time but as long as there’s Forest School, we can continue to help children to learn new skills, have new experiences, make new friends and understand new emotions.
Here’s to 2021!
