'I am the director of Primary Forest School & Outdoor Education. Gaining my Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification and the passion I have providing forest school experiences for primary school children across south west England. I enjoy the challenge of teaching in diverse environments which suited me to deliver forest schools. My strengths are being adaptable within the sessions and ensuring the participants are having fun whilst learning'.
Ellen spent 6 weeks in Zambia coaching netball, basketball and volleyball and 2 months in America working in an underprivileged camp as a lifeguard and swim teacher. Ellen’s own sporting background consists of playing in the National League basketball, and playing locally in netball and basketball whilst taking a leisurely approach to sail when she can.
I hope everyone had a fantastic summer and you were able to get outdoors even if the weather wasn’t as summery as we had hoped for! We are back at St Andrew’s Primary this year to deliver sessions with lots of different children throughout the year. We will also be doing some work on the forest school site as well as offering an after-school club – make sure you check it out via our website or use the links below!
This half term I will be your forest school leader. I love exploring the outdoors with children and finding what interests them the most to be able to tailor the sessions to them as best as I can. If you have any questions about forest school please feel free to contact me. Contact us
